Gas Economy - Get The Best Mileage When You Drive
What's the main thing you hear about today when talking to a lot of drivers? A bad gas economy. Drivers are getting tired of the amount of money they constantly have to give to their local pumps and that money adds up. Well there are ways to help you out to achieve a better gas economy.
There's always buying a better gas economy vehicle. Hybrid's can save you money on gas, if you are willing to pay for the car itself. There are other things you can try to do to help save money as well. For starters, watch the posted speed limit, the faster you drive, the more fuel you will use.
Try not to idle, idling for long period's of time is the worst thing you can do, so if you find your stuck in traffic, just turn the vehicle off. If you're going on long drives, use your cruise control, it keeps you
at a constant speed so you're not always breaking and constantly hitting the gas pedal. By doing little things like this you should notice a difference, sometimes it may not be a large difference, but it's still a difference.
Ford Motor Co. has actually been building a smaller car that they hope will help in the gas economy demand. It's smaller than their Ford Focus making it the smallest vehicle in the United States and they plan to start sales on the car around 2010. This new car will offer a bold modern design with sophisticated electronics, and a fuel-efficient four-cylinder engine.
So as car manufacture's get better gas economy cars out onto the market, remember there are things that you can try to do to help you save money, whether it's keeping your car maintained, staying at the posted speed limit, and on those long drive's use your cruise control. If you find yourself stuck in traffic, turn your vehicle off. By doing things like this, you should notice a change in your gas economy and maybe put some extra money back in your wallet instead of into the pumps at your local gas station.
