Hydrogen Car - Sooner Than We Think

Many manufactures are looking to build hydrogen cars, and many have already started on the process. A major advantage of making and using hydrogen cars is the effect on our environment. In fact, there is already some work on the production of hydrogen cars that will debut this year.

Take Honda for example, the manufacture of a car that was blown up by the hydrogen band wagon, and they expect this car to travel an estimated 270 miles at speeds around 100 mph that will only produce water that comes out of the exhaust. Now Honda is not only the manufacture of jumping on the hydrogen band wagon, Mazda is also working on hydrogen cars as well as a hydrogen hybrid car.

Even though these hydrogen cars could be safer for our environment, what if they really aren't? Producing fuel cells from hydrocarbons is still going to continue to depend on fossil fuels that are going to leave behind carbon dioxide, which is the primary cause of global warming.

So how does that make this car better for our environment? Time is only going to tell to see how well the manufactures are going to be able to build this car to be able to make it safer on our environment. Manufactures are looking at the fuel cell route and are convinced that this method is a more efficient and cleaner method then the hydrogen engines, because instead of burning fuel in an engine, these fuel cells are going to be more like batteries.

So there may be some up's and down's to hydrogen cars, but manufacturers are trying to build a more efficient economy car, which will produce less pollution and will also create a quieter car. Manufactures are working hard to produce these cars, and some will be out this year, but we probably won't see a rise on Hydrogen cars for another few years.

There are some hydrogen cars available today, but for a price, since it costs more to build these cars the price tag to purchase them is higher, but in the next few years when we see more of them coming onto the market, hopefully these price tags should drop. Let's just hope for a vehicle that is going to be better on our environment.
