Hydrogen Fuel Car Could Be The Next Best Thin
Many car manufactures are looking into building hydrogen fuel cars. Think about it, there will be no more smelly gas stations, or how about bringing down the pollution levels? A major benefit to making and using hydrogen cars is that the greenhouse gases and ozone precursors will be decreased.
In fact there are already some manufacture's working on hydrogen cars which could debut this year. Keep your eye on them, because over the next few years they are only going to get better. Honda is a car manufacture that has jumped on the hydrogen band wagon and they are expecting their new car to travel an estimated 270 miles at speeds around 100mph that will only produce water as vapor.
Honda isn't the only manufacture jumping on the hydrogen band wagon; Mazda is also trying to produce what they are calling a 'dual fuel' car. A car that, with the flip of a switch, can either be run on gasoline or hydrogen. Although these new cars will help improve our environment, how will they effect our economy? Time will tell.
If you're excited about hydrogen fuel cars, don't run out and buy one just yet. Keep in mind that even though manufactures are working on making them and some may be released this year, there aren't many places in and around the world that you can fill up your cars.
In Canada there are only 10 filling stations and these are used for industrial use. In The United States there are 49 (More than half in California) and in Europe there are 38. So if your in the market for one of these cars, make sure you check around to find out if there's a place near you that you can fill up your car.
There may be some up's and some down's regarding these hydrogen fuel cars, but the manufactures are trying to build a more economy efficient car that will produce less pollution and will also create a quieter car. The biggest thing will be the price tag. Can our economy handle it?
