Hydrogen Powered Cars Are Closer Than You Think!
Many manufactures are already building hydrogen powered cars. Many of these cars are already being used in places like California and Japan, although most will not be available until this year or years down the road. Hydrogen car's are the new thing providing less dependence on foreign oil, lower prices at gas pumps and acut down on global warming.
There are many questions about hydrogen powered cars that are still coming up. One is where is all this hydrogen going to come from? What needs to be taken into consideration is that if hydrogen isn't generated in an environmentally responsible way, then in all reality we could be going backwards rather then forwards where our environment is concerned.
What we need to keep in mind is that what we need is an environmentally sound hydrogen supply before many of these hydrogen powered cars hit every car lot around the world. Manufactures believe that hydrogen cars are the way to go to create a healthy environment, but only time is truly going to tell if they are or not.
The best way to possibly make these cars more environmentally friendly, is instead of burning hydrogen like fuel in an engine, using hydrogen fuel cells, since they run more like batteries. Everything always has it's ups and downs, and until we are able to see what they are really, we can't fix what may need to be fixed to truly make it a more environmentally friendly car.
Hydrogen powered cars are already starting to slowly hit the market, maybe not to buy, but if you live in California you may be able to lease one to try it out. With fueling stations not readily available everywhere either, as most are in the California area (Only 10 available in Canada that are used for industrial use, 49 total in the United States and 38 available in Europe), it still may be awhile until we are going to notice a big increase in hydrogen cars on the market.
Hopefully within the next 20 years when experts are reporting hydrogen cars to fully be on the market in every car lot we will truly have a fuel efficient, environmentally friendly car. But again, only time is going to tell.
